This San Elijo Lagoon maternity session at the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve and Nature Center (say that three times fast) turned out so beautifully. What better way is there to celebrate new motherhood than being surrounded by mother nature herself? That is one of the main reasons I love outdoor maternity sessions. 

The other reason being… look at how beautiful the photos turn out! You just can’t beat a stunning outdoor setting and that warm golden hour light. In-home maternity sessions also have a special place in my heart, but sometimes these outdoor ones just hit different.

We also ended up finding this really cool tunnel, and the way the sunset light was bouncing off the walls and reflecting onto Karina and Jack was just *chef’s kiss* wonderful. This pair is clearly so in love with each other and so ready to become parents together, and I’m just grateful that I got to witness a little bit of that and capture these incredibly special moments for them.
