There is honestly nothing sweeter than an intimate backyard wedding, and especially a San Diego backyard wedding at that. (What can I say, I love my hometown.) Liz and Justin decided to have a small and laid-back wedding day in Liz’s parent’s backyard. I absolutely love when couples go with a calmer or more casual vibe for their wedding, so this was just a dream come true.
Their intimate outdoor wedding ceremony took place on the back lawn, and the couple said their “I dos” under the cutest little gazebo in front of all their closest friends and family. Liz looked just beautiful in a simple a-line wedding dress. She held a large, fluffy bouquet of pink and white florals, and her bouquet matched Justin’s tropical-themed boutonniere perfectly. Justin wore a classic dark blue groom suit. They both looked incredible, and watching them see each other in their wedding attire for the first time at the altar was just the sweetest moment.
After the ceremony, everyone took a celebratory shot, and then it was reception time! The outdoor wedding reception also took place in the family backyard, so of course it was a beautiful setup. A monochromatic all-white color palette for the tablescape details allowed the gorgeous peachy pink reception florals and the warm string lights to really pop. To top off a perfect reception, delicious al pastor tacos were served, and the wedding cake (made by a family friend) was just the cherry (or the chocolate) on top.
The best part about having your wedding at the family home is that you can party and dance all night long, and that’s exactly what everyone did! This was the perfect wedding day for such an amazing pair. Thank you, Liz and Justin, for letting me capture it!
