Miranda and Michael and their Salt Drift Pointe wedding in Imperial Beach, California was just the most beautiful, warm and bright wedding day. Bride Miranda and I actually go way back! She went to high school with my husband, and now I’m capturing her wedding. So funny how life works. This pair found their perfect beach wedding venue randomly while exploring San Diego one day, so it was totally meant to be! Sometimes a moment comes along when you least expect it, and you just know it’s right.
I’ll bet you’ll never guess how Miranda and Michael started off the morning of their wedding day… they went for a run together. That’s one way to get the excitement of the day started, for sure! The two then started the getting ready process, which is always one of my favorite parts of the day. Miranda wore a beautiful lace mermaid wedding dress and Michael wore a classic gray groom tuxedo. They opted out of a first look and instead saw each other for the first time during the ceremony.
The outdoor wedding ceremony was breathtaking! In front of a simple wooden ceremony arch and with the ocean in the background, the couple said their “I dos” in front of all their family and friends. After some dreamy outdoor bride and groom portraits, it was reception time!
The indoor wedding reception was so much fun. I mean… there was a churro bar, how could it not be the best time ever? The space was simply decorated with minimalistic reception details and string lights.
The night ended with loads of dancing and the cutest sparkler wedding exit! I’m always a sucker for those. Thank you, Miranda and Michael, for continuing to be a part of our lives, and for letting me capture such an important moment in yours!
