It was a tough choice whether or not to hand over thousands of dollars to have someone design a website for me or to just do it myself, but after having made 3 websites for myself over the past 5 years I have learned one thing, I may have a photography eye, but I don’t have a graphic design eye. And The team at Alisabeth Designs most definitely has the design eye.  Holy Moly they blew me out of the water with my new site. I think you can agree. It’s awesome. 

If you’re thinking about designing a new site or re-branding I definitely would suggest you do these 3 things first. 

-Expect to pay a pretty penny and expect it to be 10000% worth it.

-Know who you want to attract, what you want to say with your site and what elements you want in your site before booking a designer. I had to figure this out as I went along in the busiest fall wedding season..yeah don’t do that either…choose an off season for your line of work. 

-Expect to do a lot of introspective thinking about yourself. Read reviews that your clients have written about you and their experience. I got a lot of inspiration from all the reviews I’ve received over the past few years! 

I knew I wanted a new site for several reasons, but I didn’t know what I wanted exactly in terms of vibe, aesthetic, elements. I knew what I liked and what I didn’t but when they sent me over the initial questionnaires I was like oh crap what did I get myself into. But then I talked over video with Amanda(the designer assigned to my site) and we figured it all out and she guided me into the vision I had buried deep inside my head. I made the dopest Pinterest board with ideas, artwork, quotes and fonts that I seriously want to print out and put everything all over my office.

Over the next few weeks they started to send me each page of my site along with my new logo.They even sent me variations of my logo which I was like, “OMG Whatttttt??!!!!” I was truly blown away by the talent of Sarah(Owner and Lead Designer with Alisabeth Designs) and her team. I was basically allowed to make as many tweaks as I wanted, which was barely because they killed it every single time I received anything back from them! They made me feel heard, and I never felt like a pest when I wanted to make changes.

My previous website showcased my work, had my photo and some paragraphs about me and displayed my prices, basically did the job but overall it was missing all the spunk and fire I feel like I have inside myself. They showcased the heck out of that on my new site and I could not be more grateful. Now when you go to www.allgoodthingsphotography.com you are instantly brought to a world of joy, color and a modern retro space to get all the info you need to know about my and what I offer and why I offer it. 

As this year goes by, I hope to offer free resources to couples and blog more about all the things I’ve learned over the past 5 years of being a wedding photographer. I plan on sharing more personal stories about my life and struggles and of course want to share all the fun projects I get to work on each month. Speaking of free resources, if you are a bride or groom, or hoping you soon will be then please download my Vendor Recommendation Guide!
