Tara and Elijah are what you would now call a “Covid” Couple. Their original plan was to get married at the Brea Community Center in late May. Because of Covid-19, their traditional wedding plans got thrown out the window, so they eloped. There really is no point in waiting to marry the love of your life.
Tara got ready at her parents airbnb home in Anaheim, CA. We strolled around the neighborhood for some unique photo spots. After finding some killer bougainvillea flowers for bridal photos, we headed over to Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Tara and Elijah had their first look and it was freakin’ adorable. I’m usually not a fan of taking photos midday. But the park had beautiful peppercorn trees and floral gardens making it a gorgeous spot for photos.
After the park, we headed to a family friends house for the ceremony. The backyard had plenty of room for Tara to walk down an aisle. She smiled all the way down as she walked to Elijah. During the ceremony, they had a private moment of prayer together, while their family prayed over them as well.
After they shared nuptials, we took family photos, and the couple had their first dance. The night ended with toasts and dinner from Lazy Dog. I truly had the best time photographing their day. They both radiate joy by being around each other. I can’t wait to be at their reception next year to celebrate a year of being MARRIED!!
