The family photos from this Los Penasquitos Ranch House family session turned out so perfectly. Southern California is known for its beautiful summer season. So you already know that these San Diego summer family photos came out stunning! Next to fall family pictures, summer family pictures are definitely some of my favorites to capture.

It was a perfect summer afternoon with golden light, warm weather, and a clear blue sky, so we took full advantage of that by sticking to the outside parts of the family session venue. Outdoor family photos always come out so lovely anyway, so we were hardly complaining! Especially since the ranch provided the prettiest backdrop of rolling hills, tall trees, and the sweetest little ranch house.

I absolutely loved the more casual vibes of this family session. The family dressed nice and comfortably, which is perfect for creating more natural family photos because no one feels awkward and stuffy. They relaxed and had so much fun the entire time, laughing and playing and exploring together. I love when I’m able to capture a family in their most natural and comfortable form, just enjoying each other’s company.
