This park and beach engagement session turned out better than we could have dreamed! Joey, Katie, and I decided on two different locations for this session. We chose Marian Bear Park and Windansea Beach (both located in San Diego, California.) The two different locations offered us a variety of gorgeous outdoor engagement photo ops!
We picked the perfect day for this engagement photoshoot. We ended up getting some really beautiful golden hour portraits at both locations. The photos turned out so good, and a perfect representation of these two and their love for each other.
Joey and Katie met at a friend’s birthday party in Temecula. Joey had his eyes on Katie from the beginning, and they ended up spending every second of that day talking. And then every day after that. They call themselves “disgustingly lucky” for finding each other, and if that’s not true love, I don’t know what is.
At the Marian Bear Park location, the pair got all cozy n’ cute as they strolled through the park’s path as the sun’s golden hour light started peaking through the trees. This entire session was very relaxed and casual, which is my favorite because when the couple is more relaxed, the photos come out nice and natural.
We finished the evening off at the Windansea Beach location, where we got some super dreamy sunset portraits of the couple. They danced in the sand, climbed some rocks, and splashed in the ocean just a bit. We also got in a few shots highlighting that gorgeous engagement ring of course!
This engagement photo session was romance overload. I’m now even more excited to see how Joey and Katie’s wedding turns out! Their wedding day will take place in October of this year at Ethereal Gardens, a stunning wedding venue in San Diego.
