Like many couples, Covid restrictions forced this one to move their original wedding date from 2021 to 2022. Also like many couples, though, Lauren and Mason didn’t let that stop them from officially marrying each other. Their original plan was to elope to Lake Tahoe, but because of recent wildfires, the pair decided to keep it local and elope to Mt. Laguna in San Diego, California instead.
After researching all the beautiful elopement spots that Mt. Laguna has to offer, the couple ended up deciding on Agula Dulce Trailhead (which also happens to be where I shot this beautiful engagement session earlier this year.) Agula Dulce Trailhead is perfect for engagement sessions, elopements, and even small weddings. Such a pretty location!
Lauren had her getting-ready moments at Viejas Casino and Resort. I love how those getting ready photos came out, so please scroll to check them out! Lauren wore an all-lace mermaid-style wedding dress, and looked gorgeous as ever, of course. Mason wore a dark blue groom suit. Pretty stylish pair if you ask me!
The simply decorated outdoor ceremony was made even more stunning by the golden hour light that was blanketing everything and the stunning Mt. Laguna greenery in the backdrop. After family photos and bride and groom portraits, everyone headed back down to Viejas for the reception dinner. Lauren and Mason were so kind to invite me to tag along. I didn’t get home until past 11… long night for this mama! But so much fun and so, so worth it.
I look forward to when these two finally have their big dream wedding next year. They will be having their big day at Milagro Winery in Ramona, California. If you want to check out this gorgeous wedding venue ahead of time, click here to see a wedding I shot there back in July!
