I walked into Shelby and Taylor’s apartment and I took one look around and was instantly inspired. Shelby told me she had her grandma come over to help her clean and I couldn’t stop laughing. Their space was small and knickknacky and I loved shooting inside of it. But what I loved more was the connection between these two. They were so fun and were so comfortable in the camera I could have stayed with them all day. They’ve been together for 6 years, married for almost 5 years and they love taking walks around their neighborhood chatting away from their phones and the cats. I’ve known Shelby for a little while, we’ve worked together before, she is an amazing makeup artist and every time I see her she always has a vintage band t-shirt on, but I thought for this shoot that she should wear one of Taylor’s shirt. It just looked so comfy on her.

Leading up to the shoot I asked them some question’s about how they feel about each other. Taylor said that Shelby is,”A bright light in the world with a lot of darkness”. Shelby said that Taylor is, “He’s by far the best man I’ve ever known.” You can see the love they share for each other for yourself in these photos. I’m obsessed.
