Every time I photograph Jess she moves. Like literally moves. The first time I photographed her was at her shop Honest Thrift Studio. We had the best time getting to know one another. It was so fun to meet a fellow female business owner and just chat, take photos and become pals. A couple weeks later she let me know her landlord abruptly ended her lease. She had to find a new space for her store. Then, about a year later I photographed her and her husband Mark at their studio apartment. During the shoot she told me they were trying to buy a house. Her and Mark moved out of this adorable little space and into their new home a few weeks later.
If you don’t follow Jess on Instagram, you should. Only if and you love plants, thrift stores and dogs and a sassy cat, OH and coffee. She has opened up a coffeeshop Garden Coffee next door to her thrift store. You can follow her here and I promise you won’t regret it. You can also follow along with her coffeeshop journey here . Once you start following Jess you just wanna be friends with her immediately. She is a ball of sunshine, truth and joy. I am so blessed that social media brought us together. I’m also so glad I can call her a fellow business babe and friend. Also Mark, her husband is a sweetheart and they are so freaking cute together.
