To be honest, I don’t love shooting at the beach, but this little spot had me all giddy. We ended up finding the perfect location for a sweet little Laguna Beach maternity session. Its gorgeous beaches have these cool rock formations that dot the shoreline, calm waters, and the best weather (I mean, it’s California, so… duh!) 

Steph looked extra beautiful during this shoot. She wore a simple cream-colored midi-dress, and she had this glow about her that only expectant mamas have. Dan wore a simple t-shirt and black jeans. There wasn’t as much dancing and twirling during this session as there is, say… during a beach engagement photoshoot (nor was there any champagne drinking!!) We had to be extra careful because of the special passenger on board, but there was still plenty of laughter and cuddles. 

We ended this maternity photoshoot with some golden hour shots that turned out so beautifully! All in all, this was a wonderful day celebrating the new life the two would soon be bringing into the world. 

Since we shot these photos, Steph actually gave birth to their healthy baby boy!
