Amanda and Charles have a long history together. They grew up together. No, like literally they grew up together. They went to the same elementary, middle and high schools. Their families have always been friends and Amanda and Charles brothers have been best friends for years. So you could say they were definitely meant to be. Their uncle married them at the La Jolla Woman’s Club on Jan 18th, 2020. I was worried it was going to be a cold and gloomy day but it was perfect. The sun was out, Amanda looked beautiful and Charles was being such a good sport about taking photos. He wanted to marry the love of his life and party.
Before the party started Amanda and Charles wrote letters to each other and I loved watching Amanda read hers aloud, Charles added in all these inside jokes from their past and it was just the cutest thing. It was also the cutest thing when Amanda and her dad had their first look. Oh My Gosh, it was such a sweet and tender moment between father and daughter I almost….almost started tearing up. Along with the almost tears I did have a huge smile on my face during the whole thing. Looking back, this day was full of sweet and tender moments, between Amanda and her mom, Charles and Amanda, between Amanda’s Parents, everyone was so so happy to see them together and finally married. Charles plays professional baseball so he is on the road all the time and Amanda is right there either in the stands cheering him on or at home holding down the fort until he’s home again. Their wedding was definitely a party. The open bar, got everyone up and dancing and the band did a great job keeping the energy up and everyone on the dance floor. I have some great shots of Amanda dancing the night away with a huge smile on her face along with photos of her and some of Charles on stage with the band singing along to 80’s rock jams.
I loved being able to capture every party of their day, and I especially loved the part where I got to go home with an entire box of donuts from VG Donut & Bakery Shoutout to Erin the coordinator for hookin’ a sista up! Little peanut and I very much appreciated the yummy treats!
