These golden hour Mt. Soledad wedding photos are everything and more. Mt. Soledad in San Diego, California is the perfect location for romantic mountain wedding pictures. Its rocky terrain, textured greenery, and stunning city and ocean views create such a cool vibe. Believe it or not, this wedding photo session actually came about because of a horrible (dare I say tragic) event.
Vanessa and Even actually got married a few years back when they eloped to Mt. Soledad. The photographer who took their wedding photos ended up having all of his gear, including the SD cards their photos were stored on, stolen out of his car. The couple was devastated, of course. When they reached out to me to retake their wedding pictures, I knew I had to make this happen. We decided to go back to the same location, and the couple wore new wedding attire. It was just as if they were eloping all over again… super romantic.
Before the couple got into their elopement attire (a simple fitted v-neck wedding dress for Vanessa and a classic black suit for Even), Vanessa wore the prettiest traditional Cheongsam dress, and Evan wore checkered pants and suspenders. They both looked so incredible in both outfit changes. It was such a good idea to bring two different changes of clothing. It allowed the session to turn into an engagement session and a wedding portrait session all in one.
I was so honored to be a part of these “years later” wedding photos, and that I was able to give this couple what precious thing they lost a while back. A negative situation was turned into a beautifully positive one.
