This boho-inspired intimate backyard winter wedding in San Diego, California was SO romantic! Megan and Mason originally planned to get married at La Jolla’s Woman’s Club, but due to Covid (like many other couples experienced, unfortunately) their plans had to be changed. I believe this was meant to be because eloping to their parent’s backyard turned out to be the perfect wedding day for these two.
We took first look photos at Flynn Springs Park in Lakeside, and oh my goodness they are some of the sweetest first look wedding photos ever. You can just tell how in love and excited to finally get married they are. I loved this location for their first look. The trees with the color-changing leaves in the backdrop, the cool rock formations, the cloudy winter sky… it was all so perfect. Megan looked absolutely stunning in her boho lace wedding dress by Rue De Seine (I mean seriously, the lace detailing on those sleeves is to die for). Mason looked incredible in an always classic black tux.
The ceremony and reception took place in the parent’s cute little backyard. There were hanging light strings and warm candles that added such a romantic feel to the space. The neutral table decor and chairs paired perfectly with the greenery and white florals that decorated the reception tables. The backyard was the perfect size for an intimate wedding.
All in all, this was just such a lovely event. I had so much fun with Megan, Mason, and all of their friends and family members. As always, I am so honored to have captured such a special day in their lives.
Winter weddings are always so beautiful, but if you’re looking for some spring wedding inspo, check out this post!
