When a wedding day happens in such a beautiful area… you just know it’s going to be a gorgeous one. From the restaurant rehearsal dinner to the tented reception, this Idaho Springs, Colorado wedding was perfect from start to finish.

So, I just have to start with the restaurant rehearsal dinner that was held at the Westbound & Down Brewery. I’m predicting that restaurant rehearsal dinners and restaurant receptions are going to be all the rage in the wedding industry soon. There is just something so charming, intimate, and inviting about having part of your wedding take place in a restaurant setting. And this one was no exception! 

The actual wedding day took place at Blackstone Rivers Ranch, a gorgeous indoor-outdoor wedding venue also located in Idaho Springs. The bride and groom, Sarah and Warren, each got ready in their respective getting-ready spaces, and then they had their first look in quite possibly the prettiest first look setting EVER. It was the most perfect weather and the lake, the sky, and the trees looked as gorgeous as they ever have.

After wedding party and family photos, everyone headed over to the outdoor ceremony area. Sarah and Warren got married under a traditional Jewish Chuppah (and of course they broke the glass, too!) After the ceremony, the reception was underway, and tented wedding receptions will always have my heart!! 

At some point, the couple and I found some time to capture their bride and groom portraits. We explored the beautiful grounds of the venue (because what a shame not too) and even found a creek to take photos in front of! Then we headed back to join everyone at the reception for the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day (oh… and the dancing was really fun.)
