Ahhh! This session was so much fun! Samantha and Jimmy’s coastal San Diego engagement session at Sunset Cliffs was the perfect blend of natural beauty and laid-back coastal vibes. April in San Diego is always a great time for engagement photos, with the weather just right for a session by the ocean. Sunset Cliffs has such a stunning backdrop with its rugged cliffs, the waves crashing below, and the soft golden light as the sunset. It really is one of the best spots if you’re looking for a coastal San Diego engagement session!

Samantha and Jimmy’s outfits looked fantastic and were also super practical. They had just the right type of clothing that both looked amazing and allowed them to move freely and naturally during the session. When you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing, it really shows in the photos. You end up feeling much more relaxed, which makes the whole thing feel more like a date night rather than a photo shoot.

One other reason I LOVE engagement sessions is because they are such a great way to connect and get comfortable with your photographer before the wedding day. Getting to meet in person and get to know each other a little bit more during an engagement session really helps when it comes time for your couples photos on your wedding day!
